When nights call for some extra warmth, a soup is the perfect cooking choice.
This recipe uses orzo, this kind of rice-shaped pasta, popular in Italy, Greece and Turkey, as well as some ripe fresh tomatoes.

Ingredients for 8 servings:
– 300g wholewheat orzo
– 6 ripe tomatoes
– 2 red onions
– 4 garlic cloves
– some paprika
– salt, olive oil

Chop the onions and peel the garlic cloves.

Put them in a large pot with hot olive oil and saute until clear.

Cut the tomatoes and put them in a blender. Blend until they become a thick sauce

Add the tomato sauce to the pot. Also add salt and paprika.

Then add the orzo.

Also add 2,5 litres of water (generally it’s 1 part of orzo for 8 parts of water).

Boil for 20 minutes and add some raw olive oil when your turn the heat off.

Serve with cheese or only some pepper. Bon appetit!
